I learned that air has a shape.
First job out on my own — a leaky attic in July. I traced every duct by hand. Ever since, every house we do starts with air.

I climbed onto the fifth wall.
A copper standing-seam on a hurricane coast. Nine days on the roof, one lightning storm, one lifetime warranty. The house is still there.

I planted a courtyard that grew up.
A crushed-shell path, a fig tree, two cedars. Nine years later the tree is taller than the house and the garden runs the whole block.

A stone bathroom the family wanted to sleep next to. We ran everything soft — foam-wrapped copper, brass valves, silence.
